ATC Charts & Maps

Park 1                                                             Park 9

General aviation light aircraft are usually parked on Park 1. Tie-down points are available on all bays but you have to provide your own rope. Bays which have chocks and rope are usually occupied by locally based aircraft which will be returning shortly, so find an empty bay to avoid having to move your aircraft later. A marshaller will  sometimes be waiting for you but if that is not the case just pick a clear bay and park. If Park 1 is full, expect to be allocated a slot on Park 2 or Park 3. Tie-down points are not available on Park 2 and 3. Transport will be waiting to take you and your bags to the arrival terminal on Park 9 where customs and immigration formalities are carried out. Make sure that you do not forget anything in the aircraft because you will be charged LM5 (about EUR12) for every trip. If your flight is non-commercial (unremunerated), do mention it because otherwise you will be charged commercial rates.

Should you wish to fly around the islands check out the 'Local VFR Areas' chart below. We will soon have photos of the landmarks used as reporting points to help you identify them. They are Portomaso Tower, Marsascala Bay, Blue Grotto and Dingli Radar.
